Visited Houston last year for my first Astros game. 324 was a small section with only five rows of seats. There were roughly 12 seats assigned to a row. Overlooked the Astros dugout with a great line of sight towards the pitcher's mound to see their deliveries during the game. You can't go wrong here if you hold tickets for 324, the seats behind these are even higher up but still probably had at least a decent view of the outfield.
In terms of activities to do before or after the game, Minute Maid Park is really lacking. With Petco Park and it's Gaslamp District and Wrigley Field and it's Wrigleyville, it's obvious that the area around the ballpark needs some work. Downtown Houston on further down is super nice though with plenty to do but I just didn't like Minute Maid's location although it was neat how they incorporated the train theme into it.
