As long as you're sitting between either dugout on the view level, you're view of the field will be just fine. There are no obstructions in this section and our seats faced straight forward towards the giant scoreboard.
I don't think any fan up there sits where they're supposed to sit. Everyone kind of just scatters out and sits as they please or tries to sneak down into the field level seats which is pretty easy in Cincinnati, especially for weeknight games. All I can say is, those left and right field seats are not worth the $30+ they charge per ticket.

The casual fan will probably hate section 529 but the die hards won't mind it because they just enjoy being there to see their favorite team. The Redlegs!
If you get a chance to check out the new "Banks" area, do it. It's adjacent to the stadium; Holy Grail seems to be the most jumping spot and Toby Keith's Bar is pretty decent.

To give you an idea what the view of the field is like from section 529, here is a Youtube video shot from there during a Reds/St. Louis Cardinals game at Great American Ballpark.
