The Club Lounge at Progressive Field will be receiving a facelift as part of a $6M renovation to the area. The Club Lounge is a private area for baseball fans seated in sections 326 through 348 on Progressive Field’s 1^st base side. The area has remained largely the same since Progressive Field first opened back in 1994.

The changes and features of the upgraded Club Lounge will include the following.

• 31 new televisions measuring greater than 70 inches.
• A new and upgraded sound system.
• A new indoor bar that will be moved to a new location and will be greater than 60 feet, 7 inches in length. The new location of the bar will allow for fans to move more freely and will have less fan congestion.
• New seating in the lounge area and outside of the lounge totaling a 68% increase in seating capacity.
• The club lounge will now provide a better view of the playing field with its retractable floor-to-ceiling glass doors.
• Standing tables for diners.
• An outside bar overlooking the playing field that will provide drink rails for fans.
• A renovated kitchen.

The Club Lounge was designed by Weber Murphy Fox and the construction will be completed by Gilbane Building Co. The freshly updated club lounge will be completed in time for Opening Day 2019 when the Cleveland Indians host the Chicago White Sox. A corporate name will be given to the Club Lounge at a later date once a partnership has been solidified. The Cleveland Indians anticipate a greater ability to schedule more off season events with the reconstruction of the area. Ticket holders for sections 326 through 348 will still receive all-inclusive food and soft drinks.

Nearly half of the $6M in renovation costs will be funded by the Cuyahoga County sales tax on alcohol and cigarettes. The Cleveland Indians added “The Corner” during the 2015 MLB season; a popular gathering area for fans in right field. Progressive Field will host the 2019 MLB All-Star Game; an event it last opened back in 1997.
