The Sports Business Daily Journal recently announced their nominees for their 2017 “Sports Facility of the Year Award”. Nominees include U.S. Bank Stadium (Minnesota Vikings), Target Center (Minnesota Timberwolves), SunTrust Park (Atlanta Braves), T-Mobile Arena (Vegas Golden Knights), Little Caesars Arena (Detroit Pistons and Red Wings) and Notre Dame Stadium. 

As you can see, most of the nominees for sports facility of the year were brand new stadiums and arenas with Notre Dame Stadium (1930) and the Target Center (1990) being the exception. The winner will be crowned on Wednesday, May 23rd, 2018 at the New York Marriott Marquis Time Square.
