In case you haven’t noticed, the culture in Seattle, Washington is a little…different. And the Seattle Mariners organization appears to be just as eccentric. Last week, the team announced they will be adding a donut bar to Safeco Field in 2018. This comes one year after hosting “Yoga Day” at the ballpark as well as debuting toasted grasshoppers as a food offering.

The donut bar will be called “On Deck Donuts” and will be located outside of section 132 on the lower level of Safeco Field (adjacent to Frozen Rope ice cream sandwiches). Centerplate, the food and hospitality provider for the Seattle Mariners, will help create the menu for On Deck Donuts. A short list of the stand’s offerings will include

  • Jumbo donut bites.
  • Mini donuts.
  • Various dipping sauces (chocolate, caramel, powdered sugar, frosting).

Other food options new to Safeco Field in 2018 will include Din Tai Fung (Asian fare) and Jack’s BBQ (Texas-style barbecue). This year, the Seattle Mariners will also be hosting “gluten free night” on Thursday, May 3rd when the Mariners host the Oakland Athletics. This event will include a pregame gathering with gluten free food options. To learn more or to purchase tickets, please visit MLB.com.
