Anheuser-Busch has signed an agreement with Little Caesar’s Arena to become a landmark partner of the arena when it opens later this year. Little Caesar’s Arena is the future home of the Detroit Red Wings and Detroit Pistons and is located in downtown Detroit, Michigan. Bud Light will be the official beer of the Detroit Red Wings; replacing Miller Lite. Anheuser-Busch will have three designated areas inside the arena; the Budwesier Biergarten, the Bud Light Bar on the upper level and the Goose Island Pub on the main level of the arena.

The Budweiser Biergarten will be perhaps the most popular area throughout the entire arena. It will be located on the northwest side of the arena and will feature a glass-enclosed bar with a retractable roof. It will also feature a patio and lawn area and will only be accessible for fans with tickets to the game. The Bud Light bar on the upper level will feature a beautiful view of the Via and surrounding neighborhood below.

Other landmark level partners include Labatt Blue, Comerica Bank, Huntington Bank, St. Joseph Mercy Health System and Meijer Inc. Little Caesar’s, which is also owned by the Ilitch family, purchased the naming rights to the arena for 20 years, $120 million. There were no financial terms about the partnership with Anheuser-Busch disclosed to the public. Little Caesar’s Arena replaces both Joe Louis Arena and the Palace of Auburn Hills, both were long time homes of Detroit’s hockey and basketball teams. For the first time in the city’s history, all four of it’s professional sports teams will play their home games just a few blocks from each other. Outside of Little Caesar’s Arena will be “The District Detroit”, a mixed-use development area featuring retail shops, bars, restaurants and living. If you’ve heard that the city of Detroit is rebounding and making a slow comeback; you heard correctly.
