The Arizona Coyotes will officially launch their “weekender ticket plan” next weekend during the club’s open house and skating party for fans. The event will take place from 1 to 4 PM on Saturday May 19th at Gila River Arena. Fans will be able to mingle with the team’s cheer squad, meet Arizona Coyotes analyst and former player Paul Bissonnette, skate on the ice and tour the locker rooms of both teams. Like the paint the ice event several weeks ago, the skating party is an effort to help the Coyotes organization increase their season ticket base.

The weekender ticket plan will include tickets to all 21 weekend home games for the 2018-2019 NHL season which would essentially make it a half-season ticket plan; NHL teams play 41 home games each season. Perks will include

  • Membership to the Arizona Coyotes ticket trade program.
  • Access to Ticketmaster’s account manager.
  • First dibs and discounts on playoff tickets.
  • Discounts on individual game tickets for friends and family members.
  • Discounts for the Coyotes Den team store.
  • An additional free ticket for one home game during the season. One per ticket holder.
  • Invitations to members only events.
  • Tickets are priced at less than face value vs. the box office.

NHL commissioner Gary Bettman has stated that the Arizona Coyotes will not stay in Glendale, Arizona long-term. The Arizona Coyotes front office announced that they were considering building a new arena near Arizona State University (Tempe, AZ) but those plans have since died. The team’s lease with Gila River Arena expired at the conclusion of this season, however, the team will extend the lease for one more season. Who knows where the Arizona Coyotes could end up five years from now?
